Front Desk Assistance
JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking part-time Front Desk Coordinators to support our our growing Salon Company. Acts as the first point of contact for all guests entering H2O Hair Salon and Spa. Provides professional and courteous service by checking guests in for their appointments, explaining salon services and policies, and answering questions. Informs all guests of new rules and regulations surrounding COVID 19 and maintains an expert level of health and sanitation across all salon zones. Performs additional client support jobs as needed.
JOB DUTIES
Greets and welcomes all guests entering the salon in a timely and professional manner.
Checks guests in for their appointments.
Acts as a resource for all services, treatments and policies of the salon, including cancellation policy, service charges, retail items, treatment procedures, etc.
Schedules service and treatment appointments.
Handles all point of sale functions for services, retail products, and gift cards. Accepts cash and credit cards, provides change, and issues receipts.
Maintains inventory and retail numbers. Organizes incoming stock.
Answers the telephone in a professional and courteous manner, assisting callers or transferring calls to the appropriate person.
Cleans and maintains the waiting area and dining room.
Assists stylists and technicians as needed by directing client questions, issuing capes and towels as needed, and occasional sweeping.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
One year related customer service experience, preferably in a luxury spa or salon setting
Experience using reservations and POS systems preferred.
English and Spanish fluency preferred
Professional licensure a bonus.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Basic computer and math skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays to accommodate business needs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, hear, talk, grasp, reach and perform repetitive motions
Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 10 lbs.
